ning how to ask and answer about people’s workplaces on the basis of Topic 1. (1) Learn the sentence patterns about inquiring workplaces. (2) Go on learning the expressions about occupations. (3) Develop and train the students’ abilities of communication. (4) Work in pairs (5)Do some listening (6)Show love to jobs (培养学生尊重劳动成果)

The Ss can read and translate the words and phrases correctly. There will be some difficulties in making new conversations for some unable students. 教学 重点 The main activity is 1a and 1b. The teaching key points is: Be able to ask and answer about the workplaces. How to use the aux. verbs “do / does”, though they have learnt it in Topic 1, and the words “work and works” correctly. Let the students read the conversations more and work in pairs, using the aux. verbs “do / does” to make the new conversations. And they can help each other.

Show a picture with a farmer working on a farm . Ask and answer between the teacher and students according to the picture , and lead to the new sentence patterns. T: What does the man do? Encourage the students to make dialogs in groups by competition. Eg. Glad/Nice to meet/see you. What’s your name? Where are you from? How old are you? Are you in Class One? Is this a pen? Family members: parent, father, mother,kid Jobs: doctor, nurse, (office ) worker, driver, farmer, cook, have a seat = sit down glad be glad I’m glad to see you all. 1. Lead-in: Present a short dialog with the students. Eg. T: I’m new here. Can you introduce some of your classmates to me. Ask one or two students to give an example of introduction. 2. Talk about the picture in 1a. and summarize. 3. Listen to 1a. and repeat one by one. 4.
